I COLOR DIAMONDS
Another massively popular color due to its "affordability". The I color, which still sits in the heart of the near colorless category offers a great option for those who are seeking a nice balance of size and budget. While still offering a nice white option, this diamond can usually wiggle its way into most budgets.
An I color diamond can offer an extremely good value. Combined with cutting precision, like this True Hearts by James Allen, you can obtain a gorgeous look without blowing out the bank. If you compare this F color from WhiteFlash and this I color, you can see there is a considerable price difference. This can be very appealing to a lot of consumers. Just bordering on being able to see a hint of yellow or "warmth",
feel an I color is a very acceptable choice. Like we said in our color guide intro, Tiffany & CO, who are the most strict sellers of diamonds in the world offer I color. And we know how strict they are because we...wink wink.
While
always recommends buying a GIA certified diamond, it becomes of even greater importance when buying an I color or lower. Other laboratories than the GIA are notorious for their, let's just say "generous" grading in color. What may be an I on a certificate could very well be a J, K, or even L color. Once you buy diamonds in these ranges, the warmth does start to show and you should be aware.
